Bimbimba Park Opens
After 4 years of planning and a year of construction, Bim'bimba Park at Gainsborough Greens is finally open!
The new five-hectare park boasts multiple zones designed to engage people of all ages - including the stand out one-of-a-kind 14 metre play tower!
Bim'bimba Park is a space where the community can come together to play, climb. skate, scoot and cycle, or relax under the shade of the barbeque areas or fig trees with a picnic. And with three kilometres of new pathways in the park now connecting the 14 kilometres of walking and cycling trails throughout Gainsborough Greens, it's the perfect place to meet up and explore the neighbourhood.
The park was created by landscape contractors Naturform in partnership with Form Landscape Architects and was constructed using predominantly recycled materials.
In December, Gainsborough Greens Residents joined the team who built the park for an evening of food trucks and fun at a special sneak peek event prior to the park being opened to the public.
Residents and the local community have also enjoyed watching the park come to life through a series of videos on our Facebook page. Each video documents the dedication and detail that was poured into each element of park.
