Residents Upgrade to The Grand Reserve
Almost a third of homesites in the latest stage of Mirvac’s Gainsborough Greens community were purchased by existing residents looking to upgrade their home or reinvest in their neighbourhood, with all 48 lots secured via expression of interest within minutes of release.
Neighbouring the championship Gainsborough Greens golf course and award-winning Bim’bimba Park, 13 of 48 homesites in The Grand Reserve release were contracted to existing residents, with the remainder selling to predominantly local purchasers.
The Grand Reserve is one of the final land releases in Gainsborough Greens, which has been developed in stages over a decade and currently boasts more than 1,600 residents.
Tracey and Rob Jarvis are among those who have chosen to reinvest in Gainsborough Greens by purchasing a homesite in The Grand Reserve, after living in the Pimpama community, on the northern Gold Coast, for many years.
Mr Jarvis said the couple moved to Gainsborough Greens in 2014 and have loved living in the area so much they decided to build another home, which they plan to move in to once complete.
They are currently renting a home in Gainsborough Greens owned by their son and daughter, who invested in the community after experiencing the lifestyle.
“We initially chose Gainsborough Greens because it’s so handy to everything. It’s central to both Brisbane and the Gold Coast for work,” he said.
“We have really enjoyed living here over the past seven years – the community keeps getting better and better with the addition of new shops, schools, parks and restaurants.
“Everyone is friendly and we feel like we are part of a community, especially with all the events Mirvac puts on for residents on a regular basis.
“We have always liked the idea of living closer to the golf course and park, so when the opportunity came up to purchase in The Grand Reserve we jumped at it, with a plan to upgrade our home and lifestyle.
“We’ll have views of the golf course and surrounding greenery from our new block, and we’ll upsize our home to make the most of the new location.
“The plan is to stay in this new home long term. We love it here and can’t see ourselves living anywhere else.”
Mirvac Head of Residential, Stuart Penklis, said seeing multiple residents buy a second property in Gainsborough Greens was the ultimate testament to the quality of the community.
“In The Grand Reserve there were 13 residents who chose to reinvest, which is a wonderful compliment to everyone who has helped build the Gainsborough Greens community over the past ten years,” he said.
“To have expressions of interest on all lots within minutes of release speaks volumes about how highly sought after an address The Grand Reserve at Gainsborough Greens is.
“It’s incredible to think we are coming to the end of an era, with the final releases expected to be taken to market in the coming months, with less than 100 lots in the pipeline. Once these final releases sell there will be no further developer land made available at Gainsborough Greens.
“We already have people putting their names on a waitlist to be notified as soon as the next release is available, and we expect they will also go to contract quickly, with locals leading the charge.”
